Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 tsp kosher salt

½ tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp chili powder
-
1 tsp ground cumin
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
¼ cup water or beef broth
-
1 large bag tortilla chips
-
2–3 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey jack, or blend)

Diced tomatoes or pico de gallo

Sliced jalapeños
-
Black olives
-
Sour cream
-
Guacamole
-
Chopped cilantro

Green onions
Directions
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
Season with salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Add water or beef broth and simmer 2–3 minutes until beef is well coated and flavorful.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread tortilla chips in an even layer on a large baking sheet or oven-safe platter. Top with seasoned ground beef, then sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese.
Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven and immediately add desired toppings.
Serve hot and fresh.
