Truffle Butter Filet Mignon

Ingredients:

• 2 filet mignon steaks (about 6-8 oz each)
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• Salt and black pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoons truffle butter (store-bought or homemade*)
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Prepare the Filet Mignon:
Pat the filet mignon steaks dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a good sear.

Season and Sear:
Season the steaks with salt and black pepper on both sides. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Sear the filet mignon for 2-3 minutes on each side or until a golden-brown crust forms.

Transfer to Oven:
If your skillet is oven-safe, transfer it directly to the preheated oven. Otherwise, transfer the seared steaks to an oven-safe dish.

Add Truffle Butter:
Place a tablespoon of truffle butter on top of each filet mignon. Add minced garlic around the steaks.

Finish in the Oven:
Roast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes for medium-rare or longer based on your preferred doneness.

Rest the Filet Mignon:
Once done, remove the steaks from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the filet mignon as a garnish.
